Mauzy

Offline navigation on the backroads of Newfoundland and Labrador. Nowhere else, and it says so.

The whole road network of the province is on the phone: 54,166 km, including 11,009 km of provincial resource roads that are missing from OpenStreetMap. Routing and turn-by-turn guidance run with no network at all.

It does not promise a road is passable

For every 500-metre piece it shows one of three honest states.

About 22,190 km are unknown. Inventing a score there would be a lie.

The question that matters off-road

Not "will I get through" but "how far do I walk out if I don't". For every piece Mauzy computes the shortest way along the network to a reliable road, whether a track is a dead end, and how long that dead end runs.
